Okay, maybe this is a bit of a personal question, but do you love your OBGYN as much as I love mine? Because let me tell you—when I say I love my OB, I LOVE my OB.
Shout-out to Dr. Larsen! 🩷💜🤍
For years—honestly, longer than I can remember—Dr. Larsen
has been my go-to. I don’t even have a primary care doctor, but whenever
someone asked, I’d confidently say it was her. A tiny white lie? Maybe. But
honestly, I wish she could be my primary.
Having a trusted OBGYN is something I never truly
appreciated until I found one who made every appointment feel less clinical and
more like catching up with a friend. This is usually how our interactions go:
- Knock
Knock… In walks Dr. Larsen while I sit naked on the table in a practically
see through robe open in the back and a HUGE paper napkin across my lap.
- While
giving each other a big ‘ol hug:
- Dr.
L: ‘ohh.. It is so good to see you’ (big squeeze)
- Kim: ‘Hi Dr. Larsen! It is good to see you too! how are you?’ (big squeeze back)
- We
release our hold on one another, and Dr. Larsen sits down while we chit
chat about kids, husbands, travels (she goes on the most amazing trips)
work, life… you name it…
It’s a relationship built on trust, understanding, and—let’s be real—a whole lot of her expertise. I’ll let you in on a little secret – she is so awesome she is even my friend on Facebook 🤣
To say we have been through it all together would be an understatement. She was there when I went on birth control, when the HPV shot first came out (yes, I'm old - creepin' up on that 40th in July!🎈), before having kids was even a thought in my brain, she was there for both of my kids’ pregnancies, the aftercare, the blending of families and now this…
So, if you’ve got an OBGYN who makes you feel like more than
just a name on a chart, hold onto them. And if you’re still searching, I hope
you find your own version of Dr. Larsen (or hit me up for her contact info)—because having the right doctor can
make all the difference.
Love you too!
